SUMMARY:Longford Pride 2026
DESCRIPTION:The 3rd annual Longford Pride festival will run from August 3 to 9\, with the main Pride Parade taking place on Saturday\, August 8\, 2026.\nThe parade is the highlight of the week-long blockbuster event and will be led by Grand Marshal Eddie McGuinness. \nThe festival’s week-long calendar of activities includes community events\, meet-ups\, and an arts and crafts market. \n\nFor up-to-date schedules\, times\, and event locations throughout Longford Town\, check the official Longford Pride Instagram or follow the Longford Pride Facebook Page for daily announcements.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDate: Saturday 8th August 2026 \nHours of Closure 3.30pm – 5.30pm \n(On completion of Parade\, roads may open when safe to allow access\, which could be in advance of advertised time) \nThe parade route is from Connolly Barracks onto Bridge Street\, proceeding up Main Street\, Ballymahon Street and onto Market Square. \nRoads to be Closed: Parade route – Connolly Barracks\, Bridge Street\, Main Street\, Ballymahon Street & Market Square \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrating Pride\, Diversity and Community in the Heart of LongfordLongford Pride 2026 will bring together communities from across the county and beyond for a vibrant celebration of inclusion\, equality and self-expression. \nFeaturing a colourful parade\, live entertainment\, family-friendly activities\, community workshops and cultural events\, the festival aims to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for everyone while showcasing Longford as an open and inclusive destination. \nA new year needs a new logo \nNew Year\, New Logo\, New Mascot 🏳️‍🌈⚧️🏳️‍⚧️ \nWe are delighted to introduce a new logo this year\, our new furry squirrel friend Bród-y 🙌 \nLongford Pride’s new mascot for 2026\nArt credit: Doug Fox-Roberts \n
