A Dramatic Parade of Light, Fire and Mythology
As darkness falls, the streets of Longford Town will come alive with fire, light, music and movement as the Fire & Shadows Procession makes its way through the town centre.
Inspired by the traditions of Samhain, this spectacular outdoor event brings together local artists, performers and community groups in a vibrant celebration of creativity and culture. Expect illuminated creations, striking visual performances, music and moments of surprise as the procession transforms familiar streets into a dramatic after-dark experience.
Presented as part of the Home of Halloween programme, the Fire & Shadows Procession has been developed with the support of local artists and performers, Longford County Council Arts Office and Fáilte Ireland.
The Fire & Shadows Procession will illuminate the streets with spectacular visual displays, lanterns, performers and music inspired by ancient Irish traditions. Combining community participation with artistic creativity, the procession aims to create a memorable cultural experience celebrating storytelling, heritage and imagination.
